Ballet Black offer workshops, film screenings and talks in schools and communities around our tour venues and our home in London. These can all be tailored to the age and the needs of your group.

Workshops

Ballet Black offer bespoke creative ballet workshops and workshops based on Ballet Black productions. Led by Ballet Black company dancers and artists, participants will gain an insight into ballet and the work of Ballet Black. Our workshops are available as an introduction to ballet, for experienced dancers and for everyone in between.

If you are coming to see one of our productions and would like a workshop to accompany your visit, please let us know this when completing the form, we recommend that you book tickets for the performance directly with your local performance venue. Tour dates and venues can be found here

Schools and Communities

Workshops in Primary Schools

These workshops are a fun and creative introduction to Ballet Black. A chance to learn some movement from a Ballet Black show and for your group to explore their own movement ideas inspired by the production. We can tailor each workshop and discuss curriculum links based on the needs of your group.

Workshops in Secondary Schools

These workshops consist of an introduction to ballet technique, learning some repertoire from a Ballet Black production and creative choreography tasks exploring themes and ideas found in Ballet Black shows. We can tailor each workshop and discuss curriculum links based on the needs of your group.

Communities

These workshops are an introduction to Ballet Black, if you work with a group who would like to find out more about the company and creatively explore some ballet technique or a Ballet Black production then please get in touch to discuss further details and options. These workshops are designed based on the needs and experience of your group.

Film Screenings and Talks

BBonFILM is an extensive digital resource showcasing the work of Ballet Black. We offer bespoke film screenings that can be accompanied by a workshop or a talk/Q&A with dancers or other members of the Ballet Black team. Workshops and Masterclasses

Our workshops and masterclasses are aimed at more experienced dancers or people studying dance at higher education level in college, dance school or at a conservatoire.
